This is the second version of the KIWI design grip, which has a clever battery door built-in that the first version lacked. I have yet to need to change my controller AA batteries (which I'll be replacing with Panasonic Eneloops when the time comes, to be green), but good to know it won't require taking the handstrap skin off.
